Mrs. Tuma was born in Riverton, WY but grew up in Casper.  She graduated from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2007 and completed her Master of Medical Science degree at Saint Francis University.  Kate completed her Physician Assistant training at the Red Rocks PA Program in Denver, CO and is certified by the NCCPA.  Prior to joining the WMA staff, she worked in Neurosurgery and Interventional Pain Management.  She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, American Association of Family Practice, the Wyoming Association of Physician Assistants and the Wyoming Medical Society.

In addition to being a busy PA, Kate enjoys spending time with her husband and two young daughters.  She is quite a sportswoman!  Her favorite sports are fly fishing, running, yoga, and mountain biking.  Kate strives to make a difference in her patients’ health by providing a continuity of care and forever expanding her knowledge base.  Alongside Family Medicine, she holds special interest in Women’s Health and Preventative Medicine and is committed to continued learning and compassionate care.
